There are some weddings where we constantly catch ourselves with huge smiles plastered on our faces. Karan & Leera’s wedding definitely goes on that list. There was such great chemistry between them; the atmosphere was just brimming with so much excitement – we couldn’t help but be moved by it. Leera and Karan hadn’t known each other since forever, but we are sure you will agree that their pictures definitely say otherwise.

Being an interior designer herself, our bride Leera had a very clear vision for her wedding. She wanted it to be elegant & classic while keeping it lowkey. Her lovely sense of style also reflected in every outfit she & Karan wore (bridal outfits courtesy Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla; Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Delhi; Raw Mango & Sabyasachi

The wedding festivities kicked off with the sundowner, which was held at The Clearing House, in Ballard Estate – just around Mumbai’s swanky fort area. According to Leera, it was a natural choice for their cocktail since it’s one of her & Karan’s favourite places in the city. And what a party it was. It’s true what they say, no big fat Indian wedding is complete without some naaach-gaana, a wild crew of friends and general debauchery!

They also had a small & intimate mehandi event, which was a quiet evening that saw both the families come together with some singing, dancing and an early dinner. We saw emotions starting to run high, but with the wedding day just round the corner, this is something to be expected!

Their wedding was held at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba, and we completely agree with the bride that no other place compares to the grandeur and class of this beautiful hotel in Mumbai. Karan ended up dancing in his own baraat dressed in a casuals (as were all his groomsmen) and changed into his wedding sherwani later. A smart idea, we thought, especially since this baraat was an absolute banger! And with the gorgeous backdrop of the Gateway of India; we also got the chance to make plenty of stunning photos in the beautiful golden light at sunset.

One of our favourite moments was catching Leera peeking at the baraat from the hotel window and Karan spotting her. The most perfect first look, and totally unplanned. The looks on their faces were just priceless and we are so glad we were able to capture that special moment for them.

Thank you Leera & Karan, for welcoming us into your beautiful celebration and trusting us with your memories. We’re so happy for you guys!
